Let yourself drift

I always allow myself room for experimentation and can also be distracted in other directions. If I’m working on an orchestral theme and it accidentally turns into a synth ambience track, then I let that happen and I’m happy.

"As a rule, humans always think within the parameters they already know.. If we try to imagine something new, our mind first uses the experiences we have made before. We then often look for new impressions in nature, because there is hardly a better teacher.
In our search for new ideas, we often need some inspiration. This can happen by chance - for example during a walk or perhaps because we have misheard something and our mind has interpreted it differently.
However, inspiration can also be artificially induced and with the following section of my journey so far, I would like to share some ways and techniques to gain inspiration."
